Micro Fauna

Under Construction

The invertebrate fauna of the tepuis is incredibly diverse, complex, and under surveyed. New species of many different invertebrate are continually being discovered, described, and classified. While our camera traps rarely capture invertebrates, we encounter many unique species during our field expeditions. At the moment, we do not have the resources to classify individual species which we encounter. Therefore, Biokryptos encourages members of the public, both amateur and professional entomologists, to contact us with species identifications and distribution notes on the images of invertebrates which we publish online. We will provide an archive with images and locations of species encountered, so that we can produce a map of invertebrate biodiversity on Auyan Tepui.
